Koenigsegg has a dedicated prototype department responsible for the implementation of new technologies, the construction of both early series customer vehicles and all-new design prototype vehicles.
The candidate will be working within a small, close-knit team at Koenigsegg’s headquarters in Ängelholm, Sweden. Due to the urgency of some deliverables, the candidate must be willing to accept overtime with sometimes very short notice.
Participate in the building of both prototype vehicles and early-series customer vehicles.
Build pre-assembly packages that will be used in the assembly of both prototype vehicles and early-series customer vehicles.
Qualifications and Experience
Formal qualifications are not required. A demonstrated ability that includes automotive ‘street smarts’ is more important. You do not need to be able to write a paper on physics but you should have an intuitive knowledge on how parts work and how they influence the parts around them.
Experience in building custom vehicles or the restoration of vehicles is welcomed. We are looking for someone that brings a certain ‘X-factor’ to their work, a talent beyond their basic mechanical competency.
A whole-of-car knowledge is more important than a particular specialization. It is of great importance that the candidate is willing to learn new skills and the application of new technologies.
This is a hands-on position, paid in line with other mechanical technicians at Koenigsegg Automotive AB. Overtime is a frequent necessity for this small team doing demanding work.
Koenigsegg Automotive AB is an English-speaking company with employees from around the world. Basic English is required.
